The trip between the aerospace districts organized by CTNA and the Regional Innovative Network “AIR – Aerospace Innovation and Research” arrives in Veneto.

Appointment Thursday 23 June from 9:00 am at the Big Hall of H-FARM Campus in Roncade (TV)

20 June 2022 – To celebrate ten years of activity, the CTNA – National Aerospace Technological Cluster – promotes a tour among the regional technological districts that compose it in order to retrace the history of Italian aerospace research from its origins to today and hypothesize the scenarios of near future.

Among these, Veneto could not be missing, a territory where the Regional Aerospace Innovative Network “AIR – Aerospace Innovation and Research” https://rir-air.it/ has 41 partners (which include 30 SMEs, 5 Large Enterprises, 4 University, 1 Foundation and 1 Research Center). The companies belonging to the network employ around 3,000 direct employees and have a total annual turnover of more than 500 million euros, 40% of which is achieved outside Europe. Naturally, these are values that indicate just the beginning of a path in which Veneto intends to demonstrate the protagonism of its companies active in the aerospace sector on a global scale.

AIR is legally represented by the Aerospace and Cosmonautics Consortium – Co.Si.Mo, whose founding members are IRCASPA – Zoppas Industries, ISOCLIMA SPA and Fondazione Univeneto. The theme of the link between businesses and universities is fundamental: Veneto does not invent its own vocation in the sector today, just think of the role played by a historic professor from the University of Padua such as Giuseppe Colombo, all-round one of the fathers of the Space Agency European. From this lump of rare skills and knowledge originate the highly successful experiences of many companies established in Veneto and projected into space.

The Space Economy is now at the center of the development strategies of all the major economies in the world. A challenge that looks to the stars but has fundamental and often unexpected repercussions on many aspects of our daily life: from telecommunications to navigation, from Earth observation to meteorology, stimulating applications in different sectors of agriculture and healthcare, up to the prevention and reduction risks of natural or anthropogenic origin.

All these ideas will be the subject of the event – sponsored by the Veneto Region – which will be held next Thursday 23 June starting from 9:00 am at the Big Hall of the H-FARM Campus in Roncade .

The event is open to the press. To participate you must register by writing to : ilaria.bellandi@community.it
