A course is underway, created in collaboration with Univa Servizi, divided into 5 8-hour modules, which brings together SMEs and big players in the sector at the same table. Angelo Vallerani, President of the Lombardia Aerospace Cluster: “This is a real supply chain project, designed to strengthen existing ties. A concrete way of networking”

Today more than ever, current business models require complex management of logistics flows as well as increasingly higher levels of service, flexibility and efficiency. All this places new demands on the supply chains of the aerospace sector, which need to be organized in an efficient and optimized way, trying to reduce waste, eliminate activities that do not bring added value and reduce market response times. Those who lead the chain in the company or are an integral part of it must, therefore, be able to understand the company strategy towards the market as well as know how to manage complex projects in terms of activities, functions involved and number of resources employed.

With this intent, the Supply Chain Manager course was born, designed and organized by the Lombardia Aerospace Cluster, with the support of Univa Servizi, the service company of the Union of Industrialists of the Province of Varese, which built it by exploiting the opportunity of a call from the Lombardy Region (Continuing Training Notice Phase VI).

“The aim of this course is to create figures who know how to plan the management of the Supply Chain of the aerospace sector. The main objective is to provide participants with an exhaustive framework of the methodologies to be adopted to address strategic, tactical and operational choices relating to supply chain management in a constantly evolving global business landscape full of challenges”, states Angelo Vallerani, President of the Lombardy Aerospace Cluster.

It is a path, divided into 5 modules lasting 8 hours each, for a total of 40 hours, designed specifically for the needs and interests of aerospace companies. Aimed at middle management, it involves high-level trainers selected from those of ADACI (Italian Association for Purchasing and Supply Management). The specific objectives of the course include expanding and updating the tools necessary to carry out Supply Chain design; develop and renew techniques to implement a value chain control system; increase the management capacity of procurement processes.

“This is a real supply chain project, designed to strengthen the already existing ties between the various players in the Lombardy aerospace supply chain. A concrete way of networking – specifies Vallerani –. The strong point of this course is, in fact, to seat in the classroom, side by side, those figures who deal with the topic of the Supply Chain in the company, thus encouraging not only the learning of methodologies but also the development of a network of specialist contacts. Therefore, both small and medium-sized businesses and large companies in the sector will be present. Everyone on the same desks to grow together in terms of skills”.

The course, in which 17 participants from 8 companies, including SMEs and big players, are enrolled, will touch on various topics. From the warehouse to logistics, through the planning and control of the Supply Chain. These are the topics that will be addressed during the meetings:

  • “WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT” : DESIGNED TO DEVELOP SKILLS RELATING TO INVENTORY MANAGEMENT, TO FACILITATE PROCESS CONTROL AND COMPANY OPERATIONS;
  • “SUPPLY CHAIN PLANNING” : THIS MODULE WILL OFFER A WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF THE SUPPLY CHAIN PLANNING PROCESS AND WILL DELVE INTO THE TECHNIQUES AND METHODOLOGIES FOR PLANNING MATERIALS AND LABOUR;
