il 14 e 15 novembre prossimi, presso la Scuola Specialisti dell’Aeronautica di Caserta, si terrà un imperdibile evento organizzato dalla Commissione Europea – DG Grow congiuntamente con il Distretto Aerospaziale della Campania – DAC, dal titolo “Defence skills and Dual Use Technologies” – Il ruolo delle regioni e dei fondi strutturali e di investimento europei”. L’appuntamento, che si svolge nell’ambito dell’European Network of Defence-related Regions, accenderà i riflettori sui fondi strutturali e di investimento europei e sul modo in cui questi possano contribuire a raggiungere gli obiettivi di Difesa. Saranno presenti aziende, cluster, autorità nazionali e regionali e università per discutere le azioni a sostegno delle tecnologie e delle competenze per l’industria della Difesa Europea nel quadro del Fondo europeo per la difesa (compreso il Programma Europeo di Sviluppo Industriale per la Difesa). Tale iniziativa rappresenta un’importantissima occasione per presentare e approfondire gli aspetti legati alle opportunità di avviare nuovi progetti nazionali ed europei e immaginare nuovi partenariati di sviluppo e industriali.

CONFERENCE “DEFENCE SKILLS AND DUAL USE TECHNOLOGIES.
The role of regions and the European Structural and Investment Funds” – Air Force Specialists Schools, Caserta, Italy, 14-15 November 2019
The event, co-organised by the European Commission and the Campania Aerospace District, will bring together companies, clusters, national & regional authorities and academia to discuss actions in support of technologies and skills for Europe’s defence industry in the framework of the European Defence Fund (including European Defence Industrial Development Programme) and how the European Structural & Investment Funds could contribute to this. Topics will include: (i) Space Situational Awareness (SSA) and early warning capabilities; (ii) Robotics and autonomous UAS capabilities in non-segregated operational environment, including high speed systems and safe medical evacuation; (iii) Innovative aerial image and videos processing systems through hyperspectral imaging; (iv) Counter-UAS capability based on mini-UAS swarms; (v) Intelligent, dynamic and robust control of the quality of service in hybrid satellite-terrestrial telecommunication networks, including communications for UAVs in beyond line-of-sight applications.
The event takes place in the framework of the European Network of Defence-related Regions.
